Most people would agree that Destiny wasn't quite the game they were expecting (less story - more grinding) but it certainly wasn't broken as it had millions of players and worked straight out of the gate. I wouldn't compare it to the debacle that was Assassin's Creed: Unity.
@Foehammer. I'm sorry but you are so wrong in believing that the Xbox One has not achieved the same level of success as PlayStation 4 because of 'anti-American sentiment.' Blind patriotism is preventing you from being seeing the facts.
* When Xbox 360 launched and became market leader for a while there was no anti-US feeling inhibiting its sales.
* When Microsoft sell their OS Windows it is worldwide market leader because it is the best option fo...
Obviously those of us with our heads screwed on know that the PS4/XBO versions won't look exactly like the trailer - but how different could the actual game look? Somebody on NeoGaf who saw the PlayStation 4 footage shown in private said it was similar to the in-engine trailer but at a lower resolution and with more jaggies, however it did look fantastic. I will be getting it on console but it makes you then wonder if a powerful PC with 4K would look the same? It would be great!
That's actually a very good move by Microsoft. What it means is that when it comes to cinematics, the new Gears maintains a consistency with the previous games. The more original staff the more authenticity and it can avoid the criticisms of Halo 4 being good but 'different' from previous games.
Thanks for the advice Forbes, but no thanks - I'm a grown up and can make my own decisions.
After the Assassin's Creed Unity and Halo: MCC launch problems there has rightly been a bit of jumping on the same article bandwagon by so-called games writers that say 'don't preorder.' Whilst I understand the sentiment I normally make a judgement based on preview info, a developer's past record and my own personal desire for a specific game. I know it's u...
The promotional partnership with Sony would probably be exclusive. So I suspect that Xbox One trailer was made by Microsoft by adding their logo at the front to remind people that it is also coming to XBO. Greenberg tweeted it but it could only have been done under the authorisation of Phil Spencer.
You've got to remember that Microsoft have a history with not respecting exclusive promotions partnerships of PlayStation, remember the Destiny stinks campaign?!
I've got no problem with Stormtroopers being women. I will likely play most as a Rebel and whether they are male or female I will want to kill them an equal amount.
What is a problem is this article by Polygon. Too often they write pieces that promote their political views above the gaming news. It's like they don't understand what is the most important part of story and it's obvious from their words that some of their writers don't love gaming like most g...
@majiebeast LOL!
Stealth job achieved!
I saw someone playing this on Live from PlayStation - it looked surreal but fun. Some import places have it but reading the review it says there is no English option.
If this information is correct then it makes it even more likely that Microsoft have secured the exclusive promotional rights for Star Wars Battlefront.
As it is the Phil Spencer & Peter Moore relationship and EA's preference for home-grown has been instrumental in making sure that historically Xbox gets their exclusives.
I'm excited to be getting the PlayStation 4 version of The Witcher 3 because 1080p means it will have that resolution fidelity that last-gen consoles couldn't achieve in an open-world game. But looking at these screenshots makes me wish I had a super PC that can play this in 4K! If the game moves like those still images it must be mind-blowing. I just wish there was a store where it could be demoed.
* Tidux is unproven.
* Shinobi is trusted because he REVEALS new games or facts.
* Tidux is unproven because he just makes unprovable comments.
Before Morpheus was revealed Tidux had nothing to say. Hours after it was revealed he said Morpheus support was being added to an in development Gran Turismo! Now he says Battlefront is ridiculously good which makes it sound like he has access but he is in fact revealing nothing and the gullible just lap it up. I love...
Who's laughing? Not me.

@Septic. I think you have been premature in calling people liars for saying there were cheap Xbox One price cuts in the UK, because they were real and have recently been available and been reported by multiple websites including N4G!
For anyone looking to buy an Xbox One in the UK there were in fact some amazing value temporary offers.

Multiple websites and magazines were given an early preview of Lego Dimensions weeks ago. This was hinted at by UK trade mag MCV two weeks ago and confirmed by Boogie2988 in his reveal video: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
However they were not allowed to reveal anything about the game because of strict NDAs (nondisclosure agreements). However Polygon news editor Michael McWhertor then used this insid...
If you want it you buy it. If you don't then you don't.
I'm sure everyone can make up their own minds.
That Rooster's Teeth video was so smug and condescending. I understand if they disagree with AJ but why be so personally insulting and rude?
It's possible it may run at the same resolution as Call of Duty Advanced Warfare on the Xbox One. Because Sledgehammer wanted to prioritise the 60fps and Microsoft wanted them to hit 1080p, which couldn't be achieved on the XBO hardware, they came up with a compromise. They used 1360x1080 that scales to 1080 in static areas of the game. Although 'true' 1080p has a res of 1920 x 1080p. This allowed the game to keep a good frame rate and for Microsoft to claim the Xbox One versi...
In this month's EDGE magazine Phil Spencer is pretty sceptical about VR products describing them as not being 'now, now' tech. Which made me think HoloLens was to be more of a future product on the MS roadmap. But if Microsoft are showing it at E3 this means it's coming sooner rather than later.
The challenge is that development of VR games for Oculus Rift, Morpheus and Valve HTC headsets will be similar, but development on HoloLens will require its own unique...
